Team Building in Egypt

Team building activities is a fairly general term that is used in a number of different ways. It can cover either what you are trying to achieve or how you are trying to achieve it – or even both. It refers to a wide range of activities, usually in a business context, for improving team performance. Team building is pursued via a variety of practices, and can range from simple bonding exercises to complex simulations and multi-day team building retreats designed to develop a team.

It can be considered as developing working relationships, improving the performance of the team, outdoor activities that challenge the individuals within the team, and finally improving motivation, communication, support and trust within a team.

Objectives:

• Develop and strengthen team bonding.
• Help teams work more effectively together.
• Create the opportunity to perceive participants in different light.
• Improve the communication, support and trust within a team.
• Motivate and encourage interaction between participants.

Activities Scenarios:

Crafts and Talents:

In the second scenario each team will be divided into five groups in order to be able to handle five different categories (i.e. Sand castle, Cooking contest, Instant boat building, Drawing, and Fishing).

Sand Castle:

In the sand castle category, each team will be required to build their own sand castle using the available tools. Each team will be given a large enough square site near the water, where the sand is dark and moist in order to be able to build the castles. Then they will be required to draw a rough sketch of the castle they’d like to build and afterwards build the drafted sketches within the defined range.

Cooking Contest:

In the Cooking Contest category, each team will be required to cook a meal of their choice using the available ingredients and kitchenware. All teams will be given a fully equipped place to be able to cook and serve their meal. They will also be provided by special tools in order to be able to build a table for serving their meals. This category will not only focus on the talents of amateur cooks serving up a meal, but participants will also be judged based on the serving, presentation, table setup…etc.

Instant Boat Building:

In the Instant Boat Building category, each team will be required to build a wooden boat using the available tools. Each team will have to draw a sketch with the dimensions of the boat and actually use the material and tools provided in order to transfer the measurements on paper to a real boat. The judging of this category will include overall design, creativity, painting, efficiency…etc.

Drawing:

In the drawing category, each team will be required to draw a colored painting with the available drawing kits. Each team will have to pick a nature scene to be drawn in the given space. The judging of this category will include overall view of painting, creativity, color coordination…etc.

Fishing:

In the fishing category, each team will be provided by full fishing kits and asked to go fishing. The judging of this category will include overall number of fishes, weight of fishes…etc.

Mini Basket:

A mini basket stand will be placed on the beach and participants will have to get it through from a faraway distance.

Semi Final:

Teams will play a football match against each others. They will be given 2 balls and very small goals. Team with the bigger number of goals wins.

Final Round:

The 2 finalists will play a volley ball match.
